History

1995

Three Medical Electronic Engineers join hands to form a service oriented organisation to promote the much required service support for all type of Medical equipment. The organisation is called ‘Technohand Services Pvt. Ltd.Due to time and resource constraints, Company decides to focus exclusively into the Ophthalmic industry and undertake service and maintenance of Ophthalmic equipment.

1996

Appointed dealers by Towa Sales Corporation to promote their complete range of products in Maharashtra and Goa. Some important brands are Optikon, Takagi, Nikon and Neitz.

1997

First year results exceed all expectations. Sold 20 Optikon Phacoemulsification systems,18 Takagi microscopes and other associated equipment.

1999

Appointed Business Partners of Carl Zeiss India Pvt. Ltd. for the state of Maharashtra and Goa, specifically for the OPMI 1FR Operating microscope and SL115 Classic slit lamp.

2000

Proclaimed No. 1 Business Partner in India during the Carl Zeiss annual meet and Towa Sales Corporation dealer meet.

2001

Continued the good work and again proclaimed the No. 1 Business Partner by Carl Zeiss and Towa Sales Corporation.

2002

Repeat of last year’s performance and maintained the No. 1 spot for both Carl Zeiss and Optikon.

2003

Retained No. 1 spot.

2004

Formation of Technovision India Pvt. Ltd. as an associate concern, to specifically promote the Carl Zeiss Non-Ophthalmic products.

2005

Kept up the good work and retained the No. 1 spot again. Setup branch office in Pune to effectively cover South Maharashtra.

2006

Introduced ‘VariantTM’ Digital Vision Testing Chart successfully, thereby making the motorized ‘Snellen’ box and Chart Projectors obsolete.

2009

Carl Zeiss launches their new phaco system, thereby creating a clash of interest with our existing phaco business. Finally, after 10 years of consistently being No. 1 Business Partner and selling more than 750 Operating microscopes and Slit lamps, the Technohand Board decides to end the partnership and explore newer horizons.
Appointed Exclusive All India distributor by Medmont, Australia, for their complete range of products.
Set up Branch office in Nagpur to effectively cover the Vidarbha region.
Set up branch office in Valsad to effectively cover Gujarat and North Maharashtra.

2012

Appointed exclusive distributor by Optikon 2000, Italy, for their entire range of products, in the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh and Goa
Appointed exclusive distributor by Medizs, Korea, for their entire range of products, in the states of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa
